Refund Policy

Effective date: 30 July 2026

1. About this policy

This policy applies to courses, enrolments and related services purchased directly from Digital Discovery Limited trading as Dynamic HSE.

Course-specific refund or cancellation conditions may also be displayed before purchase. Where separate conditions apply to a facilitated course, cohort, event or consulting service, those conditions form part of the purchase agreement.

2. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies and a service fails to meet an applicable guarantee, the purchaser may be entitled to a remedy under that Act.

For qualifying business purchases, the Consumer Guarantees Act may be contracted out of under the Dynamic HSE Terms and Conditions.

3. Change-of-mind purchases

Dynamic HSE is not required to provide a refund where a purchaser simply changes their mind, no longer requires the training, selects the wrong course or fails to complete the training.

However, we may provide a refund, credit or enrolment transfer at our discretion where:

  • the request is received within seven calendar days of purchase;
  • the learner has not accessed substantive course content;
  • no assessment has been attempted;
  • no certificate has been issued; and
  • no material cost has already been incurred in delivering or administering the enrolment.

Meeting these conditions does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund.

Once substantive course content has been accessed, an assessment has been attempted or a certificate has been issued, change-of-mind refunds will not normally be provided.

4. Course access expiry

The learner is responsible for completing training within the access period displayed at purchase or stated in the Terms and Conditions.

A refund will not normally be provided because:

  • the learner did not start the course;
  • the learner did not complete the course;
  • access expired;
  • the learner left the purchasing organisation;
  • the organisation no longer requires the training; or
  • the learner did not have sufficient time to complete it.

Dynamic HSE may offer an extension, credit or transfer at its discretion.

5. Technical problems

If a technical problem prevents access, contact us promptly and provide:

  • the learner’s name;
  • account email;
  • course name;
  • a description of the problem;
  • any relevant screenshot or error message;
  • the device and browser being used; and
  • the steps already attempted.

We will first attempt to:

  • restore access;
  • correct the problem;
  • extend the access period; or
  • provide a reasonable alternative.

A refund, credit or replacement may be provided where a material problem is caused by our service and cannot be remedied within a reasonable period.

Refunds will not normally be provided for problems caused by:

  • the learner’s device;
  • internet or mobile-data service;
  • an unsupported or outdated browser;
  • workplace firewall or security settings;
  • blocked email;
  • failure to meet published technical requirements; or
  • loss of account credentials.

6. Course materially different from its description

Contact us if you believe that a course is materially different from the description provided at the time of purchase.

We will investigate the concern and may, depending on the circumstances:

  • correct the course or description;
  • provide replacement access;
  • provide an alternative course;
  • issue a credit;
  • provide a partial refund; or
  • provide a full refund.

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and seriousness of the issue and any applicable legal obligations.

7. Course updates

Courses may be updated to maintain accuracy, reflect new guidance, improve usability or correct errors.

A refund will not be provided solely because:

  • wording, graphics or examples have changed;
  • the course has been updated;
  • a minor lesson has been added, removed or replaced; or
  • the platform or visual presentation has changed,

provided the course remains substantially consistent with its stated purpose.

8. Course withdrawal or cancellation by Dynamic HSE

We may withdraw, replace or cancel a course where continued delivery is no longer reasonably practicable, supported or appropriate.

Where a paid learner has not received substantially what was purchased, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • replacement access;
  • transfer to an equivalent course;
  • a credit; or
  • a full or partial refund.

If Dynamic HSE cancels a paid facilitated course or service and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, the purchaser may choose a full refund or credit.

9. Organisation purchases and transfers

An organisation may request that an unused enrolment be transferred to another learner.

A transfer may be approved where:

  • the original learner has not accessed substantive course content;
  • no assessment has been attempted;
  • no certificate has been issued;
  • the replacement learner’s information is supplied; and
  • the learning platform permits the change.

Transfers are discretionary and may be subject to verification and a reasonable administration charge.

A refund will not normally be provided merely because an employee has left the organisation or no longer requires the training.

10. Duplicate and incorrect payments

Verified duplicate charges and payment-processing errors will be corrected.

Where appropriate, the duplicate or incorrect amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

11. Payment reversals and chargebacks

Contact us before initiating a chargeback so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Where a payment is reversed or charged back, we may suspend:

  • associated course access;
  • certificates;
  • learner accounts; and
  • further purchases,

while the matter is investigated.

A chargeback does not remove the purchaser’s obligation to pay a valid amount that remains due.

12. Facilitated courses and cohort programmes

Facilitated courses, live events, coaching, workshops and cohort programmes may have separate cancellation conditions because places, preparation time and delivery capacity are reserved in advance.

The applicable conditions will be displayed before purchase.

Unless the applicable course conditions state otherwise:

  • a substitute participant may be accepted at our discretion;
  • withdrawal does not automatically create a refund entitlement; and
  • missed sessions do not entitle a participant to a refund.

13. Subscriptions

Where Dynamic HSE offers a recurring subscription:

  • cancellation will stop future renewals;
  • access will generally continue until the end of the current paid period; and
  • cancellation does not ordinarily create a refund for the current billing period.

This does not limit any statutory remedy that applies.

14. Promotions, discounts and free courses

Free enrolments and complimentary access have no cash refund value.

Where a discount or promotional code was used, any approved refund will be based on the amount actually paid.

Where a bundle includes complimentary content, the value of content already accessed may be taken into account when determining a discretionary refund or credit.

15. How to request a refund

Send requests to:

Email: [email protected]

Include:

  • purchaser name;
  • learner name;
  • account email;
  • organisation, if applicable;
  • course name;
  • purchase date;
  • order or invoice information; and
  • reason for the request.

We aim to acknowledge the request within five working days.

We may request additional information reasonably required to assess the request.

16. Approved refunds

Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.

We will initiate an approved refund within a reasonable period. The payment provider or financial institution may require additional processing time before the funds appear.

A discretionary refund does not create an obligation to provide the same remedy in another case.

Before publishing, make sure Klasio’s checkout requires purchasers to accept the Terms and Conditions. That affirmative acceptance materially strengthens the written business-to-business Consumer Guarantees Act contracting-out clause.
